What next?
You can expect the following things to happen in the coming days:
Some one in the tamil print media will give a title, ‘Kadhavai thirangal…. (actress) varattum’
The Outlook will feature ‘The inside story of a journey from Saamiyaar to a Pornstar’ cover story.
India Today will feature the ‘India Today - AC Nielsen Erotic Saamiyars of India 2010 rankings’
A lame ‘Kalachaara Seerkedu’ editorial in ‘family’ magazines like Kalki, Thuglak.
A Dr.Narayana Reddy will somehow make himself available despite his busy schedule to give a deep psychological analysis on the issue to the likes of ‘Nakkheeran’, Junior Vikatan, etc.
All the while, television media houses like the Sun TV, kalaiganar TV will continue to do two things:
- safeguard the tamil culture
- run the steamy sequence in their prime time news program.
And how about the people of Tamil Nadu?
- Initially, we are only too happy to lap up anything in the name of ‘Aanmeegam’. Healthy circumspection is never our forte. So there is always the next saamiyar scandal in the offing.
- Once someone is caught in his ‘act’, we turn peeping tom and
- start lapping up each and every news item featuring the man for the next three months.

Of course, any wrongdoing by Hindu spiritual leaders either real or cooked up will get prime attention by media dominated by dravidian/christist/marxist forces.
A lot lot more is happening in certain minority institutions but will get hushed up.
Maybe aspiring wrongdoers who want to commit sexual leelas should do so as a non Hindu. Then they will get all the help.
At a well known school in south Chennai where I studied, a principal used to hold ‘private meetings’ in his closed office with teachers during school time. Everyone knew what went on but couldnt do much other than getting him transfered to another school belonging to the same order. Shame.

I do not want to take a side in this issue but, a vast majority of our people do not grasp one of the fundamental principles in life: “கண்ணாடி வீட்டில் இருந்து கல் எறிய கூடாது”
No one is perfect. Indians in general, Tamilians in particular, will be better off when we realize this.
I hope those involved do not think about something stupid like suicide.

What you say is not without truth. But the man in question here is yet another god man. thats what i wanted to write about.

Ram,
Would anyone have objected if he was an ordinary guy? He capitalized on the Indian’s susceptibility to anything Aanmegam. We are addicted to worship. These guys know how to capitalize on it.
Sometime back I wrote about Isha Yoga. I don’t think i wrote anything damaging about them. But look at the kind of comments I get from people.

I think we indians in general do not have any sense of rationality.
March 8th, 2010 at 12:43 am
It is absolutely a fact that Indians lack rationality; that is why in situations like this, they always judge the parties involved right away, without hearing both sides of the argument. And it is fascinating to see the kind of things that our people get outraged over.
Though it is expected, our people sure are overreacting to this. I mean, there was no rape involved, no cheating or home-wrecking was involved, and no one put guns to people’s heads and forced them to believe what this guy had to preach.
He is a hypocrite for sure; but make no mistake, people’s stupidity deserves much more blame in this episode.
Wouldn’t it be nice if people show the same amount of scorn to politicians who rape and pillage the state?

Nanga rationale illai nu sonnen… engaluku bayam illai nu soneno?
Veetuku auto varum na Sun TV idhai broadcast pannuma, Nakkheeran idhai ’subscribe’ now nu link poduvangala? I am sure
Let me tell one more thing.. idhey oru actress a illamal vera yaaravadhu oru ponna irundha… she would’ve got more sympathy…the blame would be entirely on the guy.. nadigai na more vulnerable, avangalai pathi enna vena sollalaam, eludhalaam… Idhaan Tamil Nadu nyaayam…
