Wang Chuanfu
It’s still hard to digest that the Chinese can build a world class car. But yeah stranger things have happened. Charlie Munger thinks this guy is a genius. I think Munger is a genius in his own right.
In India, somehow this whole ‘electric’ phenomneon has caught the fancy of only one Mr. Ratan Tata. But his company is in mountains of debt. The rest of the players (Mahindra, MUL and the likes) are not so keen, or so it seems.
I personally think reducing our dependency on oil augurs well and might help our fight against terrorism.

PK, a question totally off the topic.
Didn’t you campaign for Lok Paritran this time?

hello prabhu,
This chinese guy is cool. When Buffet insisted on 25 percent he was willing to sell only 10 percent shares! that shows his confidence! From the Production point of view, he has revolutionised in that he has migrated from Robotisation towards manual labour (mainly immigrated)! I can confirm that from your video! These stories infuse optimism about the global recovery! I also pity about GM, Ford and others!

Karthikeyan,
Yes, he has gone away from robotization. Thats the ‘different’ part
Producing a cheap electric locomotive is one thing. Building a truly world class car is another, at least that’s what i think. Even the tatas for all their scale and experience are still slowly getting there. So i guess it will take sometime for this product to mature but its still cool nonetheless. Managing 1,30,000 folks should take something which is why he is seen as a combo of Edison and Jack Welch
