Doi.. I’ve seen Vandana’s photos before, they are just too damn good. Plain stupid and arrogance on Kumudam’s part on Visithra’s photo. Do you know what photo they stole?

Plagiarism is an epidemic. If you expect at least the big names to respect copyrights, you are sadly mistaken.
A year ago, the Indian food blogging community was plagiarized by Yahoo’s Malayalam portal. When contacted, they were only able to come up with lame excuses. More about it in these links.

There are instances where many of my posts were copied, word-by-word, along with photos. Its like banging your head in the wall. Unless they have google ads in their web pages, there isn’t much that can be done.
So keep a look out for your creative creations.

The thing that irritates me the most is, we are not going to ask millions.
most of the cases.. blog URL + blogger name credit will do…
They were not even saving money… just losing credibility for their publications with nothing in return

Karthi,
I have been following Vandana’s photos for a while now on smugmug. She has a gorgeous collection of photos.
Visitra’s photos are quite dramatic. She uses vignetting and possibly painting with light that make the photos very catchy. A very different style and perspective to portraits. (check out the ones where the faces are partially lit…). Awesome.
Here are some more interesting photographers to check out…

Search for a FireFox plugin called PicLens and install it…you will be able to find new photographers everyday from several sites including flickr, smugmug etc.
