Last on these sensitive topics

Let me summarise what i wanna say so that i can be done with this stuff.

i wrote purely bcos vatsan’s post was really good enough to elicit a response.
i like indian attire. i hate ties, shoes.

Having said that in an office environment, whatever i wear will be standard dress.
i dont want one for x and y dress for alpha and beta community.

I am not against brahmins. Caste discrimination is rampant in every section of the society. The Nadars practice it. The Thevars practice it albeit a little more forcefully in their dominated areas. The vanniars practice it. Its practiced all over Tamil Nadu. If anything the brahmin’s version is mild. No ‘A’ rated / violent stuff.

Instead of saying all this, i said my own commmunity practice this discrimination in some form. i wanted to state there is nothing rational in being proud of your brahminism or Nadarism or Chettiarism. You can still be proud irrationally.

If saying something abt a community which i know so well is anti-brahminism then i’m anti-muslim, anti-hindu, anti-sikh, anti-christian, anti-everybody, probably some powerful antibiotic.

Many thanks to all my friends for their suport, directly and indirectly.
And many thanks to people who still find me anti-brahmin.
You always find what you want to find.

Ipdiye irunga. Politician ungalai thakkitu unga community aalai unga constituency la niruthina marakaama vote podunga. This applies to all communities. Politics need your community tag more than anybody.

Prabukarthik is a good enough identity for me.

Forget it folks.

My next post will be on Cinema.

    prabhu,
some times ,some words that we think are no importance to us might hurt other’s sentiments and it brings out so many types of comments.Ask a sincere sorry, it that didn’t work completely ignore them.Think in what other way you could have penned the post, so that it would not have affected others sentiment. But keep thinking.Keep asking question.

Prabhu, though I read all the posts, I didn’t comment…due to…You know what..! Peelings.!

Anyways..You nailed it: You can still be proud irrationally.

That’s exactly what should happen for a stong - secular India. For a bright India.!

I hope the youngsters of today follow this.! Good Luck.!

PK, namba societyilla wat shud be inside the closet, things like community and religion r out in the open, (not due to shame or things like tat but 4 indias well being) tat is the problem.
nanum ottukaran PK is a good identity, aduva porum.

narayanan sir, secular india oru myth! political parties like congress have done more harm than THE BJP, congress dividd the nation on religious lines under the name of secularism, one of my earliest posts was about how congress under the banner of secularism has divided india!

    vatsan,

i dont say my approch is the right or whatever. i always try to see and ask myself abt a scenario, “Ipdi irundha enna agum?”
“Vera enga ipdi irukku? Ange enna phenomenon? Can i relate to that?”

I think this is one method of deliberate thinking.

I dont know, my question is like
“What if there’s no identity at all is my question? What will happen? When the Indian Army sends its soldiers to the border, is it based on “100 soldiers, of which 25 shud be x, 50 shud be y” etc?”

If there are certain good things in a particular community why not institutionalize it across the country?
